Jomsom Muktinath Trekking

Your first day in this beautiful valley will begin with the greetings from our local operators escorting you to your hotel. Our representatives will brief you about the trek to follow and they will be available at all hours in case of any queries.

The city of temples rich in world heritage sites is something you should not miss for the world. Our representative will meet you at the hotel at 7 am sharp after which he will take you in a private vehicle to Pashupatinath temple, the epitome of Hindu religion's faith where you will encounter people of all religions basking in the beautiful carvings and architecture of the temple along with cultural richness. The other destinations to follow are Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Basantapur (Kumari Ghar) whose significance will be explained to you by our representative in the spot itself. After helping you with your last-minute shopping, at 7 pm sharp you will be dropped at your hotel. Note: If you want to capture the significant part of the Himalayas, now would be the best moment to try Mountain Flight. The flight is not included in the package but with additional fees, it can be managed.

We will have a scenic flight to Pokhara seeing majestic mountains, valleys, hills and urbanized settlement of Pokhara and Kathmandu and once we land an hour's drive will take us to Nayapul from where we will begin our trek to Tikhedhunga which will be a very short one lasting for about 3-4 hours. We will cross a suspension bridge over Modi Khola before reaching Tikhedhunga for overnight stay.

We will cross through Burundi Khola to reach Ghorepani(6-7hours) which means "horse-water" in Nepali since it used to be a popular spot for horse traders in the past. Now it is used as trekkers' place for overnight stay.

5-6 hours of walking will take us to Tatopani. As the name suggests, it has a hot spring where we can comfort our stiff muscles and relax. Overnight stay at Tatopani.

Today's trek will be a beautiful one with Kaligandaki river's music and amazing Rupse Chahara on the way.5-6 hours of walking will take us to Ghasa which is a famous place among bird watchers. Overnight stay at Ghasa.

Beautiful Lete and Larjung village on the way will give us an insight into rural people's lifestyle and their contentment with what little they have. 5-6 hours of today's walk will take us to famous apple orchards of Nepal lying in Marpha village. Overnight stay at Marpha village.

Journey to Kagbeni will take us through a famous place of Nepal called Jomsom which is a growing market in terms of hotels and lodges. From there we will pass through the world's deepest gorge made by Kaligandaki river. This is quite a windy area so make sure to maintain a steady pace. Overnight stay at Kagbeni.

Finally, we will reach Muktinath today after walking for 4-5 hours. Our journey will begin with a permit check and then we will head towards the riverbank of Kaligandaki upstream. Scenic picturesque places will cross our path on the way making us stop and admire it. Khingar and Jarkot village are some places we will encounter before reaching Muktinath. Overnight stay at Muktinath.

Muktinath has the interwoven faith of both Buddhists and Hindus and we will visit the temple early in the morning. The temple has 108 Dharas and 2 Kundas where people take a dip to wash away their sins, and the water there is freezing cold. We will also pay a visit to a nearby Buddhist Monastery and then we will retrace our steps back to Jomsom. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

We will take a 15 minutes flight to Pokhara from Jomsom and will stay overnight there. Pokhara is a very beautiful city of Nepal with beautiful lakes and perfect weather. You can enjoy the nightlife of Pokhara by going to some clubs and dance your heart out!

6-7 hours of drive will take us back to Kathmandu. Today you will have a farewell dinner in Nepali kitchen restaurant with your crew member. Stay overnight at the hotel.

The Jomsom Muktinath trekking will come to an end on this day, but not the memories you have with yourselves. All your photos and videos will be provided to you along with a token of love from our side. Ultra Nepal crew members will escort you towards the Airport.
